First Unit Goes Up At Dunstall Park

The first unit of Phase 1 at Dunstall Park Road, Ascot Drive, Derby is nearing completion. This unit unlocks the first 1500m2 floor space of the new business park by Ivygrove Developments.

The development is set to deliver over 8000m2 of industrial and trade counter space with Phase 1 delivering over 3000+m2 floor space and a further 5000+m2 to be delivered in phase 2. The 3rd phase will see the delivery of a new police station.

AJS Structural Design are proud to have provided services for drainage, civils and structural design work for the project.

A huge well done to Jamie Taylor for taking part in Ultra White Collar Boxing this weekend, raising over £900 for Cancer Research in what was described by the referee as the ‘Fight of the Night’. It truly was an exciting bout, entertaining a crowd of 1500 people including members of the AJS team who were there to cheer him on. Jamie was second best on the night but put on a brilliant performance. The fight was 1 a piece after 2 rounds but his opponent edged the 3rd round on points.

Between the 80 participants who fought on the night, over £33,000 was raised for Cancer Research which is very impressive!

Our Senior Project Coordinator, Jamie Taylor, will be boxing in a UWCB Charity Boxing Event on the 6th April to raise money for Cancer Research.

All of us here at AJS want to wish him the best of luck with his bout, we will certainly all be there to support him….. but mainly to watch him take few on the chin.

AJS re-brand marks 8th Anniversary

Today marks our 8th Anniversary of trading, and to celebrate we are launching our new website and logo.

8 years ago Today we started trading with just 2 founding members out of a small office in Uttoxeter on valentine day 2011. Now in our eighth year we have 17 members of staff and have a second office in Derby.

With extensive experience between us, our Directors have created a multi-disciplinary consultancy in Civil and Structural Engineering providing services to a wide range of clients in Steel, Concrete, Timber and Masonry for major UK and International companies, Contractors, Private Investors and Individuals. We are proud to work along side many industry professionals including Architects, Quantity Surveyors, other Specialist Engineers, Building Inspectors and Project Managers.
